On Thursday Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced the expansion of the WhatsApp ticketing system in all lines in Delhi/NCR including Gurguon metro service. DMRC said that it’s an official announcement that we are expanding the innovative idea of a based ticket system after a successful launch at the airport line in June 2023, so DMRC decided to expand this idea to all over Delhi / NCR Including Gurgaon.
The WhatsApp-based ticket system will expand in this business, and passengers will experience easy booking tickets. Every person nowadays uses WhatsApp for messaging so now buying a metro ticket is as easy as sending a message to friends and family.

Now passengers can buy tickets with a single click through the whatapps. As per the DMRC managing director “ Passengers can now simply send a message with the text ‘Hi’ to +91 9650855800 on WhatsApp or scan the QR code to effortlessly purchase metro tickets using their smartphones across the whole network”. He said that we believed that now people will be encouraged to choose the Delhi metro because of an easy way to book tickets in a single click.
The service is reaching 12 metro lines and 288 metro stations in the Delhi/NCR zone. With this system, users can create up to 6 QR code tickets at a single time. Metro ticket booking time is 6 am to 9 pm for all lines and 4 am to 11 pm for the airport line service will be available. Now passengers can reach in just 15 minutes from New Delhi to the airport.
Mode of payment can be from Debit Card/ Credit Card and UPI ID, DMRC said there will be no extra fee for paying from UPI ID.
